Bert LaRose has been coordinating groups of volunteers coming to Maine for years. He started bringing them here 38 years ago.  He stopped for a few years and for the past 5 years has been the coordinator again.

The Town of Anson is extremely pleased to be the recipient of volunteer time from two church’s from Pennsylvania. Several groups arrived in Maine to help out.  They were dispersed to different areas working mostly at personal homes doing projects like, repairing or replacing ramps, building steps, weeding, repairing windows, siding and doors for homes and barns.  Here at the Town Office they worked hard for two days painting the outside of the office.

This super group of eager workers comes to us from the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit and the Emmaus Moravian Church.

The Emmaus Moravian Church is celebrating their 270th anniversary!  How awesome is that?

Folks from The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit have been coming to this area in Maine for the past 25 years helping out may people and organizations.

During their time here they stay at the Camp at the Eastward in Starks and worship at the Shorey Chapel in Industry.

Please join us in giving a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THESE FOLKS AND THANK THEM FOR A WONDERFUL JOB DONE PAINTING OUR TOWN OFFICE AS WELL AS THE OTHER PROJECTS THEY COMPLETED…

THANK YOU!!!
